The question is: Is this yarn okay for a baby blanket?
How about this one? It's brighter, but seems a bit girly - which means a 50/50 chance of being okay! LOL
Or do I buy some more (ulp - I am supposed to be on a yarn diet) in a more baby-blankie color like the Lorna's Laces

I like the top one best. Plus since it's a bit darker, it won't show stains as easily.

First, love the finished scarf and the color you are using for your socks. As for the baby blanket--I like the top color better--it's more neutral and muted which is sometimes just what a new mom wants(at least this mom did back when her peanuts where born). Can't wait to see which you pick or to see if you crack and buy something :) Just popping through on weekly Stashalong patrol. Happy knitting.
Got here via knitty -- I think the first one is a lovely choice. I've got 2 kids and a 3rd one on the way, and I'd be pleased with either of these two, or the child's play, but the top is my favorite. (I do dress my son in 'girly' colors sometimes, so I'm not the best judge of what would be acceptable in that regard.)
